The Science of Search is a methodology designed for success. Science starts with an idea and ends when the answer or result becomes a reality. We work in partnership with you to achieve your goals and to deliver winning results.

Phase 1: A Clear Understanding
  • This is all about you…your company history, corporate culture, present team, needs, time lines and of course a complete understanding of the scope of the assignment. Focusing on requirements attracts individuals, but focusing on the opportunity - now that attracts the best.
  • A clear definition of the assignment, the terms and conditions is stated in writing and the search begins.

Phase 2: The Research
  • Our job is to bring you what you need, not what you think you want. In consultation with key decision makers in your organization, we develop a comprehensive profile of the opportunity, the qualifications needed as well as the short and long term objectives of the role. We are looking for the best. We source through databases, 'head hunt' and utilize effective precision recruiting strategies including 'surgical removal' of known leaders from your competitors.

Phase 3: The Development - Candidate Identification & Evaluation
  • We identify, contact and pre-screen each potential candidate. Those individuals that meet the requirements are interviewed and carefully evaluated keeping in mind the core competencies needed and their cultural suitability. Our interviewing process utilizes behavioral based interviewing techniques designed to elicit examples of performance and achievements.
  • Our job is to make your job easy…..we present the best …. no more than four individuals for you to meet.

Phase 4: Testing - Introduction of Industry Leaders
  • In the spirit of our mission statement: Building Relationships, we get to know the individuals we present to you. It's our job to represent the whole picture, their successes, and failures, learning experiences, goals and objectives for their own career. This is outlined in a Confidential Executive Profile that accompanies the Resumes of Industry Leaders being presented to your organization.
  • We arrange for mutually convenient meetings between your team and the candidates, and work with you to evaluate the outcome. We connect with you and your team as well as the candidate to determine next steps. Second and third interviews may be necessary and Genesis is there with you facilitating the process.
  • We provide full reference reports on the individual that has been chosen as a finalist. These reference reports utilize behavioural based techniques and draw upon the insights from individuals that have first hand working knowledge and experience with the candidate[s], generally a superior, peer, and subordinate.

Phase 5: Results - Selection of Candidate and Presentation of Offer
  • We will assist you in the final selection, resolving and therefore alleviating any doubts, and will provide additional background verification and or references if required.
  • We act as a third party to navigate through the final stages of this search process. We will work with you and the candidate through the negotiations of salary, relocation costs, and other benefits.
  • On your behalf, we work with the candidate to bring about a successful integration into your company. This starts with coaching the candidate on a smooth transition from their current employment to your company. We will stay in contact with you and your new team … after all it is all about Building Relationships.
